Sales Consultant -

This position entails sales activity in line with profit and customer satisfaction objectives. You need to be able to interact with the sales team continuously and deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction, while the agreed sales volumes and profitability targets are met. Interface and build relationships with the key end-user customers, sales specialists and channel partners.

Previous experience as a sales consultant with a proven track record.

* maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers via meetings, telephone calls and emails;
* visiting potential customers to prospect for new buisness;
* acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets;
* negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales;
* gathering market and customer information;
* representing the organisation at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations;
* negotiating variations in price, delivery and specifications with managers;
* advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions;
* checking quantities of goods on display and in stock;
* recording sales and order information and sending copies to the sales office;
* reviewing own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets;
* gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements;
* making accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations;
* feeding future buying trends back to employers.
